| Set - Receive | 3 Players |
| Receiver about one metre ahead of back out line, setter at the net,
third player three metres to the right of the setter and playing the
ball towards the back of the field. Receiver tries to get the ball and pass
it back to the setter, setter plays high ball to third player and so on. Variations: Third player nearer to setter, setter sets metre balls; third player left of setter, setter sets backwards. | |
| Serve - Receive | 6-16 Players |
| Two to four players as receivers on the right field, rest of players devided into two groups. All players of first group take a ball and wait in a row to serve behind the back out line of the left field. Second group waits in a row at setting position (2) in the right field. First player of group one serves and goes to back of setter cue. Receivers try to receive the serve and pass it towards the setter. First setter gets the ball (wherever it goes) and takes position at back of the server row. Servers have to serve really fast to keep this game going (no need to wait for the receivers to get back to their positions). After every five serves the receivers change positions and the first of the setter row who didn't receive yet switches to the receivers group. | |
