09.07.2006: Betablocker best Post SV mixed team at tourney in Hollfeld
|
Hollfeld saw Post SV Mixed with four teams. Besides our three regular teams
we had a team of 'beginners' with us - people started training with us
during the last year. As 'Gastplayer' they reached 44th place. Tiefflieger playing with Anne, Conny, Elke O., Chris, and Rainer were one player short and therefore had to borrow middle hitters from the other teams. They finished 37th. |
Betablocker played a very good tourney. Playing with
Elke H., Katja, Silvie (playing at Sunday with Läufer 7), Bernd, Jerome,
Jörg F., Peter, Stephan, and Thorsten they finished 24th. Läufer 7 lost all chances to reach a good position as they lost their first round match against the only somewhat weaker team in their group. Finally they finished 45th and will try to forget this result as soon as possible. |
25.06.2006: All three teams improved ther last years results at Regnitzwellencup
While Läufer 7 playing with Carolin, Melanie, Paula, Aden, Jo, Josch, and Niels reached their best result ever at Regnitzwellencup finishing 45th, Betablocker and Tiefflieger also managed to finish better than last year. Betablocker playing with Elke H., Katrin, Vera, Bernd, Jerome, Jörg F., Stephan, and Thorsten finished 72nd. Tiefflieger playing with Anne, Conny, Elke O., Alex, Chris, Jacek, Silvio, and Thomas finished 101st.
17.06.2006: Together with Verena we mourn her daughter

Völlig unerwartet verstarb heute Verenas elfjährige Tochter Franziska. Noch
beim Maiturnier stand sie am Spielfeldrand und hat die Tiefflieger begeistert
angefeuert. Nun ist sie nicht mehr unter uns. Der Schock sitzt tief und
es fällt mir schwer, Worte zu finden, die meine Gefühle ausdrücken. Mir
geistert ein Liedtext von Reinhardt May durch den Kopf, der es - wenn auch
aus dem Kontext gerissen - vielleicht am besten beschreibt: | ... und dann würde, was uns groß und wichtig erscheint, plötzlich nichtig und klein. |

20.05.2006: Lots of fun and great teams at may tourney
At this years may tourney we had 13 teams who played six matches in three rounds to determine the overall winner. The results can be found at our tourney page. We saw very good and exciting matches. Thanks to our guests and to all the helpers who contributed to the success of this event.
30.04.2006: Betablocker next season in A league?
Playing with Elke H., Katja, Nici, Pam, Vera, Bernd, Chris, Jörg F., Stephan, and Thorsten, Betablocker won two out of three matches and finished second in promotion tourney. Besides the three regular Post SV mixed teams we got registrations of two more Post SV teams right now. So Post SV will be present with at least five teams at may tourney.
19.03.2006: Läufer 7 finish season as 8th of A league

19.02.2006: Läufer 7 still third of A league
Two more victories were enough to keep 3rd place for Läufer 7 playing with Carolin, Melanie, Paula, Gerald H., Jo, Jogi, and Niels.
12.02.2006: Betablocker qualify for promotion tourney to A league
Having to win at least one of the three matches to finish in midfield of B league Betablocker started focused in their first match against Satzball Tennenlohe. Being the slightly better team Betablocker won both sets having reached the minimal goal already after the first match. Since former 4th and 5th of B league both lost their first match Betablocker ranked 4th after this first round.In the second match against somewhat sleepy Eurokids Betablocker started furiously fast gaining a ten points advantage and easily winning the first set. The second set also saw a good start of Betablocker leading always two to three points til 15:13. But then they were pinned in a pentration 1 receive situation and lost 7 points in a row. After a time out and a tactical exchange Betablocker fought their way back into the game reducing the handicap point by point. But Eurokids seeing their chance also did their best and got a first set point at 24:23. Nevertheless now playing absolutely flawlessly Betablocker kept pace and finally won with 31:29.
The last match against Vollstrecker saw Betablocker slightly out of focus so Vollstrecker could win the first set with 25:19. This seemed to awake Betablocker since in the second and third set they showed fantastic performance winning the last match of the season easily. With their 4th place Betablocker playing with Elke H., Katja, Nici, Vera, Bernd, Jerome, Jörg F., Stephan, Thorsten, and Tom reached their best result ever and qualified for promotion tourney to A league in April.

12.02.2006: Tiefflieger finish as 5th of C league

Final results of 2005/06 C-Mixed League
29.01.2006: Ski and toboggan weekend with fantastic weather
Fantastic weather, lots of snow, a bunch of people in good mood - that's all what is needed to make a great weekend. Seems we'll have to return next year.
22.01.2006: Tiefflieger with three victories in C-league
Tiefflieger won all of their three matches now ranking 4th in C-league. It was only in the second match when they lost a set against Wöhrder Wiesn Rambos but they fought their way back into the match and won the tie break. Now Tiefflieger playing with Anne, Conny, Elke, Verena, Alex, Anis, Chris, Jacek, and Rainer have a very good chance to qualify for the B-league promotion tournament.
08.01.2006: Läufer 7 drop back to 3rd place in A-league
Playing with Carolin, Melanie, Paula, Sylvie, Aden, Gerald, Jo, Jogi, Josh, and Niels Läufer 7 won only one out of three matches and therefore dropped back to 3rd place.
11.12.2005: Läufer 7 finish 9th at EK advent tournament
Only three more balls were needed for Läufer 7 to finish 2nd in preliminary round of EK advent tournament. So they had to run for 9th place without any chance to get better. Winning all remaining matches they finially finished 9th. Läufer 7 played with Carolin, Paula, Aden, Chris, Jo, Josh, Niels, and Robert.
04.12.2005: Betablocker again with two victories
Betablocker playing with Elke, Katja, Nici, Vera, Bernd, Jerome, Jörg F., Stephan, Thorsten, and Tom, lost only against current leader and scoring two more times have now the chance to qualify for A-league by their own in the outstanding three matches.
20.11.2005: Läufer 7 take the lead in A league
Playing with almost the full squad with Carolin, Melanie, Paula, Sylvie, Aden, Gerald, Jo, Josch, Niels, and Robert, Läufer 7 won their first three matches of the season now leading the table of A league.But the strong opponents also did their best to rank high in the table and the next matches will show whether Läufer 7 can repeat last years good result.
20.11.2005: Betablocker take root in midfield
Betablocker had some trouble to get their team together for second day in B league. Having to borrow Anne and Chris from Tiefflieger (since Katja, Wani and Stephan were not available) Betablocker played with Anne, Elke, Nici, Vera, Bernd, Chris, Jerome, Jörg F., Thorsten, and Tom.Winning two out of four matches they now rank sixth in the table and have a good chance to finish the season in the first third of the table if they start winning against teams with which they are on a par.
13.11.2005: Tiefflieger win another two matches
On second day of mixed league Tiefflieger had to compete against the 'big names'. In the first match they started half asleep an mostly lost the first set due to their play during the first five minutes. Afterwards finding into the game they challenged Britsch-Club and - fighting a good deal - won the second set. The tie break saw a discouraged Britsch-Club team that got only three points before the match was over.The second match against Fanta 6 was somewhat closer from the beginning. Again Tiefflieger lost the first set unnecessarily before they started to fight into the second set winning it with some luck with 26:24. In the third set both teams showed their best but even when Fanta 6 went stronger and stronger, Tiefflieger managed to respond and won their second match in a row.
In the third match against Querschläger Tiefflieger again had to play three sets and growing tired lost the tie break. The fourth game against good playing Schlagdraufundschlus they lost in two sets. Nevertheless Tiefflieger playing with new setters Anne and Anneke, and additionally with Elke O., Jolanta, Alex, Anis, Chris, and Jacek showed a good overall performance and should recognize that they can defeat every team in C league this season.
06.11.2005: Tiefflieger with good season start
Tiefflieger had a good opportunity to score points against easy opponents. They used their chance and won two out of three games being now forth in the table. For Tiefflieger played Elke O., Jolanta, Verena, Anis, Alex, Chris, Jacek, and Rainer.
23.10.2005: Betablocker with one victory and one loss
Playing with Elke H., Katja, Nici, Bernd, Jerome, Jörg F., Stephan D., and Tom Betablockers played good against strong opponents loosing scarsely against La Ola but winning easily against Knofelbadscher.
15.10.2005: Start in new season
After Anjas and Nicoles switch to Worzeldorf Tiefflieger had to integrate some new female players. Several recruiting attempts during summer failed and therefore it is not yet clear whether the team will again change during the season. But right now it is planned that Tiefflieger will play with Anneke, Elke O., Jolanta, Verena, Anis, Alex, Chris, Jacek, and Rainer.Betablocker were in dire need of a new female setter after Yvi left and Angela taking a parental leave. In the very last moment they got with Nici not only a supplement but an enhancement. So Betablocker will play with Elke H., Katja, Nici, Wani, Bernd, Jerome, Jörg F., Stephan D., Thorsten, and Tom.
Läufer 7 have to let go Henk, who due to several injuries already rarely played last season. But with Aden they now have a new general player and with Robert a new middle hitter. So Läufer 7 will play with Carolin, Melanie, Paula, Sylvie, Aden, Gerald H., Henk, Jo, Jogi, Josch, Niels, and Robert.
02.10.2005: Our girls are the best
For the third time in a row our girls won the Invitation Tournament EK NO Women in Nuremberg. Playing with Carolin, Elke H., Jolanta, Katja, Melanie, Paula, and Sylvie they won all of their matches.At the same time the mens team playing with Armin, Bernd, Chris, Gerald H., Jerome, Jörg F., Stephan, Thorsten, and Tom had their chance to finish in the top four but loosing the intermediate round finally reached only 7th place.
The day before the mixed team playing with Carolin, Elke H., Melanie, Paula, Armin, Chris, Jo, Jörg F., and Stephan reached an unfortunate 10th place, having to play against all of the best three teams in the preliminary round.
27.09.2005: Funny Hoppers with new name
Due to some minor identification problems of some players with the team name Funny Hoppers the team discussed to give themselves a new name. After several discussions they are from now on playing as Läufer 7.
