11.07.2004: Top and flop in Hollfeld
While good playing Funny Hoppers finished 8th getting our best ever Hollfeld result, Betablocker saw their Waterloo already in the first few matches. Even against worse playing teams Betablocker lost simply due to horribly bad receive. So it didn't came as a surprise that Betablocker finished last but two. Funny Hoppers played with Carolin, Elke, Paula, Sylvie, Gerald W., Niels, and Robi, Betablocker played with Angela, Katja, Madeleine, Yvi, Bernd, Thorsten, and Wolfgang.
27.06.2004: Lousy results at 17th Regnitzwellencup in Bamberg
Right after first round which both teams finished third in their groups it was clear, that this would be the worst Regnitzwellencup result we ever had. Finally Funny Hoppers playing with Carolin, Elke, Paula, Gerald W., Heiko, Jan, and Jo finished 72nd, while Betablocker playing with Angela, Anja, Katja, Yvi, Bernd, Jens, Jörg F., Jogi, and Thorsten finished 91st.
02.05.2004: 1st Post SV Mixed Volleyball May Tourney has been carried out successfully
First tourney - ten teams - lots of fun! Playing mostly on very similar level we saw several very interesting matches. Eventually Donnerball won the final against great playing FV Wendelstein. La Ola finished 3rd displacing Funny Hoppers to 4th place. Betablocker reached 8th place. Additional information can be found at our tournament page.
25.04.2004: Funny Hoppers will play in A league next season!
With two wins in relegation tournament Funny Hoppers buyed their ticket to A league next season. Starting with Carolin, Paula, Sylvie, Josch, Henk, and Niels Funny Hoppers only lost against Gummibären.
30.03.2004: Invitation to 1st Post SV Mixed Volleyball May Tourney
Having had some problems to organize a sports hall we are happy to announce our first own tournament. All details can be fond at our tournament page.
14.03.2004: Last day of mixed league with good results
Again Funny Hoppers have their full regular team with Carolin, Paula, Sylvie, Gerald, Josch, Henk, and Niels available and win their last two matches. Finishing third they qualify for relegation tournament for A-league.Playing with Angela, Anja, Madeleine, Yvonne, Bernd, Jogi, Jörg F., Thorsten, and Tom, Betablocker show at the last day of this seasons mied league, that e: they are still able to play Volleybal and win matches. The very last match of the season brought the long awaited victory. While Betablocker still finished last and will therefore play in C-league next season, they left in good mood promising that they will return.
29.02.2004: Third day of mixed league with great Funny Hoppers
First time this season Funny Hoppers had their full regular team with Carolin, Paula, Sylvie, Gerald, Josch, Henk, and Niels on the track. The first match against Allmächd was hard-fought, but finally they won all three matches and reached fifth place.For Betablockers it didn't work out as well. For the first time this season they could play with a full team (Anja, Linda, Madeleine, Yvonne, Bernd, Jens, Jörg F., Thorsten und Tom), but they only had chances to win the first match against Eggsberdn, where they were five points ahead in the first set at 22:17 before they lost track and gave the set away.
01.02.2004: Ski and toboggan weekend in Breitenbach
Having sunny days and tons of snow the weekend couldn't be anything but great. Breitenbach, we'll come back!
03.01.2004: Betablocker finish 9th at new years tournamment in Burgthann
Betablocker again showed bad performance during first half of the tournament, but eventually could end the negativ series with a win against La Ola. In the end Betablocker finished only 9th, but the performance during the last four matches was encouraging. Players were Angela, Carolin, Elke, Katja, Yvonne, Bernd, Jens, Jörg F., Thorsten and Wolfgang. Paula came in late in the afternoon and helped La Ola during the last three matches. The buffet in the evening was a real highlight (huge commendations to Eggsberdn for organizing such a great tournament).
07.12.2003: Second day of mixed league with upward trend
Having to compete without Henk due to his knee injury Funny Hoppers played with Carolin, Paula, Sylvie, Gerald, Josch, Niels, and Wolfgang and won two out of three matches reaching 7th place in the table.Betablocker also started well having a complete team at the beginning with Heike, Katja, Yvi, Bernd, Jens, Jörg F., Jogi, and Thorsten. But already in the first match Heike twisted her left ancle and had to be brought to the hospital. Carolin helped out but concentration was gone and the match lost soon. In the second match Betablocker were assisted by Sylvie and managed to win their first set but again lost the match. In the afternoon Angela came in and played the last match. Betablockers lost the first set but managed to win the second set. In the tie break the opponents started with a fast head start and Betablockers while fighting themselves back into the game didn't manage to catch up. So after two days Betablocker still keep the end of the table without even a single win.
30.11.2003: Funny Hoppers finish 6th at EKN advent tournament
Playing with Carolin, Paula, Elke, Henk, Jan, Jogi (morning), and Thorsten (afternoon) Funny Hoppers had a good start and won their first couple of matches. In the intermediate round Henk started to get problems with his knees having to give up later. Meanwhile we know that he cannot play for the next couple of weeks. Finally Funny Hoppers finished 6th needlessly loosing their last match. Thanks to Alex of EKN who assisted Funny Hoppers in the last match.
14.11.2003: Our Volleyball family has a new member

For several weeks Jörg put us off about the birth of his youngest daughter.
He told us stories we never wanted to hear, always beady-eyed to jump after
his mobile, but nothing happened. Now waiting time is over.
Nerea is born. She and her mother are in good health. Technical Data:

19.10.2003: Black start at B-Mixedleague
That was not how the two teams planned their first day of B-Mixedleague. Funny Hoppers won at least one of their three games, but Betablocker lost every single set taking their place at the end of the table. Funny Hoppers played with Carolin, Paula, Sylvie, Gerald H., and Niels. They were helped by Jens and Jogi.Betablocker started with Katja, Madeleine, Bernd, Jens, Jogi und Thorsten. They were helped by Paula in the first match and Carolin in the second match. The third match saw the return of setter Angela after almost a year without even touching a ball. Hopefully we'll see her in the training soon.
05.10.2003: Betablocker girls come off as winners at Womens Invitation Tournament EK Nuremberg NO
The girls of Betablocker and Funny Hoppers finished their first ever women tournament with a great victory. Playing with Carolin, Elke, Heike, Katja, Paula, Sylvie, and Yvonne they lost only one set. At the same time the men tried their best in the men tournament. Playing with Bernd, Henk, Jens, Jörg F., Jogi, Josch, Stefan, and Thorsten they showed some good play and finished 6th.
04.10.2003: Betablocker 14th at Mixed Invitation Tournament EK Nuremberg NO
Playing with Yvonne, Carolin, Sylvie, Bernd, Gerald H., Jörg F., Jogi (afternoon), and Thorsten (morning) Betablocker zoned out on their first matches and soon gambled away any chance to reach a good result. Later on Betablocker were able to enhance their play and finally finished 14th.
27.09.2003: Betablocker finish only second in Gräfenberg
At 3rd Michaelis-Kirchweih-Turnier in Gräfenberg Betablockers started to regain the cup they lost last year. Players were Carolin, Paula, and Yvonne as setters, Jens and Stefan as middle hitters, and Linda and Thorsten as outside hitters.The tournament started really bad since Betablocker lost their first game against 'Kellerkinder'. But then they won their next two matches in the first round and therefore qualified for the final round of the best four teams together with last years tournament winner 'Burgraben'.
Both Betablocker and Burgraben won their matches against the two teams of the other first round group. In the match between Betablocker and Burgraben the Burgraben payed back for their loss in the first round and again finished first.
